Who are the UNO College Republicans?   We are freshmen to graduate students. From political science to biology majors, we work everywhere from hospitals to the White House. We are soldiers, parents, full and part time students. Our views range from moderate to conservative.  Most of all, we like to have fun, and are proud to be Americans and Republicans. What do the UNO College Republicans do? 1.  We help elect republicans.  We are the ground forces in the war against liberals.  College Republicans volunteer countless hours on campaigns, making an impact on the political landscape in Nebraska. 2.  We spread conservative ideas around campus.  Today's college campuses are overrun with liberal professors, and courses teaching liberal ideology.  We seek to balance the overwhelming liberalism of college, by teaching students conservative principles.  We do this by holding events that show the other side of issues, and hosting conservative speakers to balance the liberal speakers the administration brings to campus. 3.  We have fun.  The UNO College Republicans meet every other week to plan our events and talk with other conservative students.  We host fun events that have no political impact, such as tailgate and hockey parties.  We also get to meet many important elected officials and conservatives at events. Being a members of the College Republicans is a great way to meet new friends, learn leadership skills, make a difference in elections, get internships and make lifelong networking connections.
